In ‘Ten Miles Round’, Jackie Nickerson explores the predominately rural community around her home in coastal Co Louth. In the images, she builds a psychological portrait of her community and through Nickerson’s lens, muddy, rutted lanes and straggly hedgerows are imbued with the quiet poetry of the everyday. People and places are united by the distinctive, cloud-filtered, northern light. A little-known beautiful project from a celebrated photographer.
