In Room for Love, Vallhonrat photographed hotel rooms, in both the USA and Japan, that had been designed especially for honeymooning couples. What he discovered, and shows here, was a bizarre blend of old and new, cheap extravagance and mundane utility. The film he used was perfectly suited to the subject, allowing the saturated, gaudiness of the environment to come through in his images. Its charming, fun and a perfect reference book.
