The “Last Time Burma” series is based on the photographer’s observation: the image stream from his home country, Burma, is invariably tinged with folklore and naïve optimism, as if it had to sell its beauty to a Western audience in search of ethno-tourism. With this in mind, she wanted to create an alternative images collection, stripped of any need to seduce, telling the story of an unspectacular everyday life of her relatives and parents gathered for the occasion.
