The incredible 'The Other Woman' by Barry Kay. Kay shares his observations and experiences made within Sydney’s trans community. These incredible images were taken during the years 1974-75. In portraying the individuals in their humanity, Kay was a forerunner in support of transgender persons at a still difficult time. By making his work publicly available, he contributed immensely to the acceptance of a social minority with ripple effects lasting to this day. 50 years later, Barry Kay’s documentary is widely praised as “a groundbreaking photo essay”.
