Richard Kern is an American underground filmmaker, photographer, and writer known for his provocative, transgressive work exploring the darker sides of human nature. In his earlier days, like many photographers, he shot solely on film, but with the rise of quality in the early 2000s, Kern made the slow switch to digital. This is the photographer's third book, and the first book of only digital images he made in 2007, defining a look to his work we now know so well.
