Robert Doisneau loved to photograph kids loose on the streets of Paris, unsupervised and completely themselves. The title translates to "The Children, The Kids," and this Japanese edition, published by Éditions Treville in 1992, gathers decades of that work into one volume. All the scraped knees, chalk games, back-alley mischief, all shot with the same warmth that made Doisneau one of the great humanist photographers of the 20th century.
