During a six-month residency in New York in 2005, Belgian photographer Anne Daems captured candid portraits of young people throughout the city, from SoHo streets to subway platforms. Observational and understated, the photographs explore themes of perception, beauty, and the way we view strangers in public space. The book also includes a conversation between Daems and artist Dan Graham.
