One for hardcore fans. Form and Substance is another incredible book dedicated to one of the most influential but unfortunately, shorty lived bands in music history. It is of course Joy Division, This book was published in 1988 and only in a short print run of 1500 copies and is becoming increasingly hard to find.

It's full of facts, bio, imagery by Kevin Cummins, interview notes on Saville's design, and even a rather morbid copy of frontman Ian Curtis's death certificate. Like the band itself, it's cool, considered, and impossible to imitate.
