Photographer, cartoonist, and writer, Romain Slocombe, built his multiple works from one of the most bizarre aspects of Japanese eroticism: bondage and rugged bodies. The 2005 book translates as Plastered Women and features dressings, white coats, plasters, and fictitious bruises, all the markings of his models. Whether they are plastered on a hospital bed or balanced on crutches, these images are iconic, elusive and erotic.
