Boris Bidjan Saberi is a German-Persian avant-garde designer who, only last year shut his eponymous label of the same name. This brilliant two-hundred-page-plus book, published in 2013, documents all of Saberi’s collections up to S/S 2013. Including photos of themes that inspired the collections, such as the work of Joseph Beuys or the dance of the swirling dervishes. As well as detailed shots of garments that highlight the designer’s work methods in construction and fabric treatments.
A beautifully made book with each of the one thousand copies sent to Saberi’s atelier after printing, where his artisans attached the same string with a leather badge that goes into every Saberi garment to serve as a bookmark. Incredible attention to detail.
