Baker used to take pictures for “Cruising Camera” in Mister magazine, a gay pin-up magazine of the 90s. The book Younger Days is a highly personal and selective view of London's youth culture. The iconic cover shot of a young man in Kensington Pool Hall graces the cover, the defiant aggression of skinheads, or the provocative nakedness of the youth lying on his bed, all are depicted in Baker’s cult book. Ian David Baker's imagery of adolescence would go on to be used by JW Anderson, amongst others.
