Richardson began his career in 1990 with a series documenting New York's East Village underground scene. From the mid-1990s, he became one of the biggest fashion photographers in the world, shooting for everyone from I-D, French Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, as well as campaigns for Gucci, Sisley and Armani. Terry's stratospheric career ended abruptly in 2017 when sexual assault claims resurfaced and Conde Nast and others dropped him.
