This beautiful book was presented in March 2011 during the photo exhibition in Muzeum Romské Kultury in Brno (Czech Republic) with photos of the Polish Roma Festival. Over the past three years, Frank Roosendaal has made a report on an annually recurring “journey of memories” (Tabor Pamieci) by Roma in Poland. With this, the Roma remembers the many Roma victims of the Second World War and honour their traditions with dance and music. People are important in Frank's photos and he wants to bring the people, who usually go unnoticed, into the foreground with respect during work or during social situations. Great lesser-known work.
